Meet the face
behind the posts

My name is Louise and I am 27 years old.

I trained as a beauty therapist and have my own business. I enjoy a cocktail, going out for food, walking and I have a love for animals. I love doing fun stuff like going off to London for the weekend along with many other things.

Back in summer of 2017, 2 weeks before my birthday, I suffered a Stroke, which affected my right side. Since then I have been re learning how to walk, talk, read and write.

I have decided to do this blog because I want to help others and raise awareness of what help and resources are out there.

At the beginning I had help and really good support to get me started, however, I wasn't aware of other things to support me with living independently with my stroke after I was discharged from hospital and living at home.

Half a year later, I had a support worker who continues to still support me. She is great! :)

Over the past 4 years, I have learnt a lot and developed in many areas with the help of the hospitals, physio, speech therapist, my support worker and finding new things that help me. I am here to give my personal recommendations and experience in the hope it will inspire others.
